Terms of use
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Orion Baby (“Orion”, “we”), made by Mod Studio in Michigan, USA, about using the Orion app, this website and Orion Plus. By creating an account or using Orion you agree to them and to the privacy policy, which says what Orion does with your information. If you don't agree, please don't use Orion.
Who can use Orion
Orion is for adults caring for a baby. You must be 18 or older to create an account or use Orion, and you confirm that when you set it up. You must also be allowed to enter the information you put in: if you add details about your baby you are their parent or legal guardian, or have their parent's permission, and if you add someone else's details, such as a co-parent's name, you are allowed to.
What Orion is, and what it isn't
Orion is a logging tool. It records feeds, sleep, diapers, medicines and other things you choose to track, and keeps them in sync between the people you invite.
- It is not medical advice. Nothing in Orion, including its totals, charts, reminders, medicine alerts, storage times and doctor report, is a diagnosis or a substitute for your pediatrician or another health professional. Figures such as milk storage times are general guidance.
- It is not for emergencies. If you think your baby is ill or in danger, call your local emergency number or your doctor. Don't wait for a reminder or an alert.
- Check what you log. Orion records what you and the other caregivers enter. Reminders and alerts can be late or missing, for example if your phone is off, offline, or has notifications or alarms turned off.
Your account
- Give us a correct email address and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@orionbaby.com if you think someone else has got in.
- One person, one account. Don't share your sign-in; invite people instead.
Sharing with other caregivers
- You decide who you share a baby with. Anyone you invite can see what their role allows, so only invite people you trust. Owners can change what someone can do, or remove them, at any time.
- If you share a baby, the others on it can keep seeing what you logged. When you leave, or your account is deleted, your name and role are removed from the baby, but the logs you wrote stay with it for the people still caring for the baby (see how deletion works).
- An invite link works for whoever has it until it is used or expires, so share it only with the person you mean.
Your information
Your logs and your baby's information are yours. You give us permission to store them, keep them in sync, show them to the people you invite and process them with our hosting provider, only as needed to run Orion for you, as the privacy policy says. We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. You can export it from the app and delete it at any time.
Using Orion properly
Please don't:
- use Orion for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm anyone;
- try to see another person's data, break or bypass Orion's security or limits, or overload our servers;
- use scripts or other software to get at Orion's servers, copy the app, or take it apart, except where the law allows it;
- use Orion if you are under 18, or help someone who is.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you why and let you export your data first.
Orion Plus
Orion has a free version and a paid subscription, Orion Plus, that unlocks extra features. The app shows what Plus includes, and what always stays free, before you buy.
- Price and renewal. Orion Plus is a yearly subscription. The price for your country is shown in the app by Google Play before you buy. If you haven't had a free trial before, it starts with a free trial of 7 days; the trial is free only if you cancel in Google Play before it ends. After that, and every year after that, Google Play charges you the price shown and renews the subscription until you cancel.
- Billing is by Google Play. Google Play takes the payment under Google's terms. We never see your card or other payment details.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (open Google Play, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions). You keep Orion Plus until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your Orion account or uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription: cancel it in Google Play, or it keeps renewing.
- Refunds. Google Play decides refunds under its own policies. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, Orion Plus is taken back from that account.
- One account, and the people on your baby. A subscription unlocks Orion Plus for the one account it was bought on. As the app says, Plus also covers the babies on that account, including the other people you share them with, for as long as the subscription lasts. You can restore a purchase on another account only after the first one is deleted.
- Gifts and codes. We may give Orion Plus to someone for free. A gift or a promo code lasts for the time we say and we can end it if it is misused.
- Changes. We may change what Orion Plus includes or its price. A price change reaches you through Google Play, which asks for your agreement where it must, and a change doesn't affect a period you have already paid for.
Changes to Orion
We keep improving Orion, so features can change, move or go. We may also have to pause the service for maintenance or because of something outside our control. We try not to, and we don't promise Orion will always be available or free of errors. Orion works offline and keeps your logs on your phone first, but keep a copy of anything you can't afford to lose by using Export my data.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Orion whenever you like and delete your account in the app or on orionbaby.com/delete-account. We may end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering Orion, in which case we'll give you notice and a chance to export your data where we can.
Our record that you agreed
When you agree to these terms we keep a short record of it, so we can show that you agreed if there is ever a dispute: which version of the terms and the privacy policy you agreed to, that you confirmed you are 18 or older, the date and time, the version of Orion you used and a fingerprint of your email address (not the address itself). We keep it until three years after you delete your account, then delete it. It holds nothing about your baby or what you logged. The privacy policy has the details.
No warranty, and limits on what we're liable for
Orion is a free and low-cost tool for logging, and we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't give any warranty that it is accurate, complete or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make or don't make about your baby's health or care based on what Orion shows or doesn't show. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with Orion is limited to the amount you paid us for Orion Plus in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits anything that can't legally be limited, such as liability for fraud, or rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, except where the law where you live gives you rights that can't be waived. If something goes wrong, please email us first at hello@orionbaby.com and we'll try to put it right.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we update the date above and keep older versions on request. When a change matters, Orion tells you the next time you open it and asks you to read it. If you carry on using Orion after that, you agree to the new terms; if you don't agree, you can delete your account first. Questions any time: hello@orionbaby.com.
